In homage to Christian Dior’s passion for creativity in all its forms, artist Alex Chinneck has designed a series of window displays for House of Dior in New York and Beverly Hills.
Described by the House as visual poems, the windows celebrate Dior’s history and its ties with the United States, which began in 1947. They also mark the first anniversary of both locations.

New York
At House of Dior New York on 57th Street, nine sculptures by Alex Chinneck take up symbols of the city. Clocks, yellow taxis and traffic lights appear in a surrealist spirit, emblems of “the city that never sleeps” turned into something magical.

Beverly Hills
At House of Dior Beverly Hills in Los Angeles, five works by Alex Chinneck continue the dialogue by reinterpreting the world of the City of Angels, from cars to ornamental street lamps. These urban elements are gathered in bouquets, tangled up or bent into bows that evoke couture ribbons, threads and drapery.
