We welcome considered proposals that bring a distinctive work, practice or cultural question into focus. Please use the form below and include enough information for our editors to understand the project, its context and the people behind it.
What we consider
Sketchure covers contemporary art, design, architecture and interiors, craft, exhibitions, objects, visual culture and the people shaping these fields. We are interested in completed work, projects currently on view, significant publications and practices with a clear point of view. We consider proposals from emerging and established contributors across different locations and disciplines.
We look for a strong idea, a meaningful context and visual material that helps readers understand the work. A proposal should explain what is distinctive about the project, how it came about and why it matters now. Press releases are useful as background, but they do not replace a concise, project-specific introduction.
Please include
- Project details: title, type, location, date or year, current status and the names of the people or organisations involved.
- A short description: around 150–300 words on the project’s purpose, ideas, materials, process and context. For exhibitions, include venue, curator and dates.
- Complete credits: artist or designer, studio, collaborators, client or commissioning body, curator, photographer and any other relevant contributors.
- Visual material: a link to at least five distinct images, ideally supplied at full resolution. Images should be at least 1,500 pixels wide where the format allows, with larger originals preferred.
- Image information: a caption or short identification for each image, the photographer’s name and confirmation that the images may be considered for editorial use.
- Further references: the project website, relevant social accounts, press material or a publication link.
Preparing images and links
Please send original, high-resolution images without watermarks, layouts or added promotional text. A varied selection is more useful than several near-identical views: include an overall view, details and images that explain how the work is made or experienced. For an exhibition, include installation views and individual works where available.
The form accepts a link to a cloud gallery or press kit rather than image attachments. Set access so the editorial team can open the files, and include a password in the form if one is required. Please identify images in a way that corresponds with the captions and credits. Do not send material you are not authorised to share.
How editorial review works
Every proposal is reviewed by the editorial team. Selection depends on editorial fit, originality, timing, the information available and the quality of the visual material. We may contact you to confirm facts, request additional images or clarify credits before making a decision. Due to the volume of proposals, we cannot promise an individual reply or a fixed review time.
Submitting a project does not guarantee publication, a publication date or a particular format. Editorial coverage is decided independently. If a proposal is selected, we will confirm the scope, image use and credits with the relevant contributors before publication. We do not accept payment in exchange for independent editorial coverage; any commercial partnership is discussed separately and identified clearly.
