Flowers Gallery opened at 21 Cork Street, Mayfair, in 2000. The space is the gallery’s current base in the West End, where Angela Flowers (1932–2023) first opened on Lisle Street on 10 February 1970, above the Artists International Association.

A West End lineage
The Lisle Street room lasted just over a year and a half. In 1971 the gallery moved into former basement stables on Portland Mews in Soho, and in 1978 to Tottenham Mews, first below and then next door to Annely Juda, staying ten years. In the mid-1990s a small temporary space on Silver Place kept a presence in Soho until the move to Cork Street.

Matthew Flowers, Angela’s son, now directs the gallery, which also runs Flowers Gallery Kingsland Road in Shoreditch and a space in Hong Kong.
Programme
Cork Street hosted six exhibitions between April and October 2026, from Lisa Jahovic’s Soft Interruptions and Justin Brice Guariglia’s Agentic Forests to Peter Howson’s Salvation. William Crozier: Dance of the Living 1961–1974 runs until 14 November, with Movana Chen in the Lower Gallery.

From 20 November the gallery presents Bianca Raffaella’s Between Heartbeats together with the 44th edition of Small is Beautiful, both on view until 2 January 2027.
