Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern access to and use of the Sketchure website. By using the site, you agree to these terms.

The website and its content

Sketchure publishes editorial material about contemporary art, design and visual culture. We take care in preparing stories, but information may change or contain errors. Content is provided for general cultural and informational purposes and is not professional, legal, financial or technical advice. A view expressed by a contributor or interviewee does not necessarily represent the view of Sketchure.

Copyright and permitted use

Unless a page states otherwise, text and editorial material are owned by Sketchure or their respective authors. Images, artwork and project material remain the property of their credited photographers, artists, designers, studios or other rights holders. You may access the site and share links for personal, non-commercial use. Reproduction, republication, distribution, commercial use or adaptation requires prior permission from the relevant rights holder.

Photographic or project credits do not grant a licence to reuse an image. To request permission, contact info@sketchure.net and identify the material, intended use, territory and duration.

Submitting material

By sending a proposal, you confirm that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you are authorised to share the text, images and links for editorial review. You remain responsible for obtaining permissions from photographers, artists and other rights holders. A submission does not transfer ownership of your work to Sketchure, create an obligation to publish or guarantee a response.

If Sketchure wishes to publish a submission, we will confirm the editorial scope, credits and intended image use with the relevant contributors. Any permission to publish will be limited to the use agreed for that story unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. We may decline or remove material if its ownership, accuracy or permissions cannot be established.

Acceptable use

You must not use the website to break the law, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, scrape or republish protected material without permission, or send information that infringes another person’s rights. We may restrict access where necessary to protect the site, its users or its content.

External links

Sketchure may link to websites, galleries, retailers, social platforms and other third-party services for context. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, security or privacy practices. Accessing an external site is subject to its own terms.

Availability and liability

We may change, suspend or remove parts of the website or its content. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Sketchure makes no guarantee that the site will always be available or error-free, and excludes liability for loss arising from use of the site that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these terms limits a right or liability that applicable law does not allow us to limit.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page applies from its stated revision date. Questions about these terms may be sent to info@sketchure.net.
